Forged Once. Carried Forever.
Hand-forged Viking axes from high-carbon steel. Built to outlast their owners.
We build hand-forged axes from high-carbon steel, shaped on an anvil, hardened in oil, and fitted to straight-grained hardwood handles.
Every edge is ground and tested before it ships. We do not make replicas. We do not make decorations. We make working tools that happen to carry a thousand years of Scandinavian forging tradition in their geometry.
If you are looking for a tool your grandchildren will use — you are in the right forge.
Step 01
We start with high-carbon tool steel billets — not cast blanks.
Step 02
Each head is shaped on an anvil under a power hammer, then finished by hand.
Step 03
Normalized, hardened, and tempered for 54–58 HRC — the working-axe sweet spot.
Step 04
Straight-grained hickory or ash, wedged with steel — not glued.
Step 05
Every axe is sharpened and tested on wood before it ships.
The Helm-Bearer (Ægishjálm)
The Úlfhéðinn — Wolf-Cloak Field Axe
Every head is forged from 80CrV2 or 1075 high-carbon steel — the same grades used in European forestry axes. No mystery alloys. No stainless shortcuts.
Hand-normalized, oil-quenched, and tempered to the working-axe sweet spot. Hard enough to hold an edge. Tough enough not to chip.
Every axe is sharpened, handle-fitted, and tested on wood before packing. Leather sheath included. Unbox it and use it.
We don't make axes for collections. We make axes for the cord of wood behind the cabin, the camp at dawn, and the son who inherits them.

One Forge. One Edge. Your Name.
Every axe can carry a personal engraving — a name, a date, a rune, or a short message. Engraved directly onto the handle, not printed, not stamped. Choose from Latin text, Elder Futhark runes, or a custom symbol. This is how a tool becomes an heirloom.
The Box They'll Keep Forever
Add a handmade wooden presentation box — branded, engraved, and finished to match the piece inside. Choose what goes on the lid: your family crest, a personal message, a company logo, or a meaningful quote. Inside, the axe sits in a fitted bed with a leather sheath alongside. This is not packaging. This is the first thing they see when they open it — make it count."
